एयर ट्राफिक व्यवस्थापन (ATM) विभाग नेपाल नागरिक उड्डयन प्राधिकरण (CAAN) को एयर नेभिगेसन सेवा (ANS) निर्देशनालय अन्तर्गतको विभाग हो।

सुरक्षित, सहज र भरपर्दो उड्डयन गतिविधिहरूका लागि ICAO मापदण्ड र राष्ट्रिय नियमहरूको सट्टामा नेपाली वायुक्षेत्र भित्रका ती सबै हवाई क्षेत्र र विमानस्थलहरूको लागि एयर ट्राफिक सेवा (ATS), खोज र उद्धार (SAR) र एयर स्पेस व्यवस्थापनको सञ्चालन, व्यवस्थापन र सुपरिवेक्षण गर्न पहल गर्न ATM विभाग स्थापना गरिएको हो। यस विभागका प्रमुख कार्यहरू निम्नानुसार छन्:

1 Preparing plans, procedures and programmes related to Air Traffic Services (ATS) as prescribed by ICAO to all domestic and international airlines for each and every phase of flight within Nepalese Airspace: ATS automation, ATFM, ATC Capacity etc.
2 Establishment of new PBN routes & revision of ATS routes & procedures taking into account with ICAO and nation’s requirements to enhance safety, efficiently and regular flow of air traffic within Nepalese airspaces.
3 Review, develop and coordinate regarding Instrument Departure, Approach control areas, control zones, Flight Information Zone and changes thereof in consultation with ATS Units & airline operators.
4 Providing Search and Rescue co-ordination for aircraft in distress.
5 Monitor and control of obstructions/constructions around airport to ensure compliance with the SARPs of ICAO in coordination with other departments.
6 Manpower planning, training and award of ratings to Air Traffic Controllers in conformity with ICAO rules and regulations.
7 Monitoring of standards and procedures in the provision of Air Traffic Services.
8 Other matters related to aviation safety.

Activities

Approval of Air Traffic Service Operations Manual (ATSOM) of those domestic Airport which have Control Zone (VNVT, VNJP, VNSI, VNBP, VNPK, VNBW, VNNG)
PBN Implementation Plan updated in line with Regional Plan of ICAO.
Approval of operational Letter of Agreement (LOA) between various units. Like: Lukla TWR and Kathmandu ACC
Preparation of OJTI in domestic airport.
Participating in “Regular Flight Inspection check” in the past and “MSSR commissioning Flight Inspection Check Programme” in future.
Developing RNAV Procedure of Chandragadi, Janakpur, Dhanagadi and Nepaljung airports.
Preparing AFIS Operations Manual of Lukla Airport.
